On May 27, 2025, Tri-Indigenous Energy had the privilege of standing alongside Sandy Bay First Nation in a moment that was both difficult and deeply meaningful.
In the wake of the recent wildfires in Manitoba, Mr. Robert Prince lost his home. What remains in situations like this is not just the physical loss, but the emotional weight that comes with it. In response, Tri-Indigenous Energy presented a $10,000 donation to support Mr. Prince and his family as they begin the process of rebuilding.
Present in this moment were Steve Van Dusen of Tri-Indigenous Energy, Mr. Prince and his wife, and Blaine Wiggins, Senior Director of IFMS. It was a simple gathering, but one grounded in care, respect, and shared responsibility.
While no contribution can fully replace what was lost, this gesture represents something important. It reflects a commitment to stand with community members not only in times of growth, but in moments of hardship.
At Tri-Indigenous Energy, support means showing up when it matters most. It means recognizing that rebuilding is not only about restoring a structure, but about helping restore a sense of stability, dignity, and hope.
Communities are strengthened through actions like these. Through people coming together, offering what they can, and refusing to let others face challenges alone.
This is what it means to move forward together.
